In a world where technology changes the way we do business at a rapidly increasing pace, WAX teamed up with Miami Ad School for a panel discussion on how to stay relevant amid industry shifts.
We invited some of the top creative & marketing minds in the country to a panel discussion that took place October 2, 2018 at The Bourbon Room in Calgary. Panelists included Stephen Jurisic, Dean of Miami Ad School Toronto, Don Norris, Vice President Marketing & Communications at Servus Credit Union, Rob Daintree, Director, Marketing Communications at WestJet, and Raul Garcia, Executive Creative Director at Momentum Worldwide. The panel was moderated by WAX Creative Director, Nick Asik.
Despite the city of Calgary receiving 30 cm of snow, the 100 people in attendance heard first hand from some of the industry’s top talents how they navigated the shifting tides in advertising and design to not only stay relevant all these years later, but to still be at the top of their game.
The following morning, WAX hosted a creative workshop led by Miami Ad School’s Stephen Jurisic, who guided a group of advertising students through a brainstorming exercise for their first real-world creative briefs.
The two inspiring events marked the beginning of a partnership between WAX and Miami Ad School Toronto. We look forward to continuing to host events that help inspire the next generation of creative thinkers.
